Every year from the end of January to March, the Var and the Cote d’Azur take on a dazzling yellow colour, it’s Mimosa season. Discover the Route du Mimosa, a famous route in the heart of the PACA region.

In the heart of the Mediterranean winter, while the sun shines again and again, the end of January marks the beginning of a magnificent spectacle: the blossoming of thousands of buds of Mimosas. This fireworks display with variations of yellow is the symbol of winter in the south of France.

Between Bormes Les Mimosas and Grasse, over nearly 130 kilometres, the route of this Mimosa route allows you to discover another Cote d’Azur, far from the fervor of the summer season.

Winding between coast and hill, this road begins its journey by the medieval village of Bormes Les Mimosas, then continues by the coast passing by Rayol-Canadel-sur-Mer, then in Sainte-Maxime, to reach the gates of the massif of the Estérel, in Saint Raphael.

The route continues in the Alpes Martimes, via Mandelieu la Napoule. Then in the Tanneron massif, with the village of the same name, as well as that of Pegomas. The itinerary ends with an essential passage through one of the most famous villages of Provence: Grasse. World capital of perfume, you will end your trip in apotheosis, thanks to the rich heritage and culture of this jewel anchored in the heart of the hinterland of Nice.

A great idea for a long weekend to disconnect, and discover the beauty of the mimosas in bloom and the winter charm of the region.
