The grape varieties

Thanks to the richness of its soil, the wines of Provence have a varied choice of grape varieties, which you will find in the wines of the Caveau dei Bormani.

Cinsault, Grenache, Syrah… Here are the few grape varieties that make up the diversity of the region’s wines. Like an ingredient in a recipe, each will bring a different characteristic and note to the wines.

Syrah, Grenache, Mourvèdre and Cabernet-Sauvignon, combined, will give red wines of superior quality, with a ruby color, typical of the Cotes de Provence, and notes of red fruits, spices and sometimes liquorice.

And finally the white wines of Provence are delicate wines, with a light color and green reflections. The white wines of the Caveau de Bormani are mainly composed of Rolle and Ugni Blanc. Thus, you will find fresh notes of citrus fruits such as lemon or grapefruit. But also, notes of dried fruits, with more woody and deep scents.

In fact, to accompany fish, shellfish or white meat, Blancs de Provence will be perfect.

Thus, the terroir of our region, combined with the expertise and talent of our oenologists, allows us to create exceptional wines.
